z900 swingarm query

#1 PostAuthor: Peteypops23 » Tue Mar 29, 2022 4:51 pm

Evening all....
I've got the swingarm off for painting etc.
Don't know whether to go for a SWING ARM NEEDLE BEARING KIT or just replace the bushes and sleeves? They've been good enough for the last 45 years or so.
Opinions please :)
Pete

Just use the sleeves. Most of the needle kits I've tried are not very good.

The bush is a far better engineering solution than needle rollers which experience only a tiny amount of movement at the pivot point.

...which presumably is why nearly every decent bike after about 1980 has needle rollers.
