Guys,
Have any of you encountered the two types of Mitsuba SM 8207 starter motors? I have two motors with identical parts numbers but one but has two magnets and the other has four magnets. Both have a four brush ring. One has an extra part , which is an insulation ring protecting the brush wires from chafing. Clearly the four magnet motor is much better than the two magnet when starting my high compression engine. Anyone encountered this starter motor difference. Is the four magnetic motor a design change/improvement?
