So i was going through a box where i keep my used piston sets and 2 engines i have broken down in the last few years have had ART KL250 pistons rather than standard ones, been meaning to ask is this an old work around or was there any advantage over the standard pistons or were they just a standard replacement for the stock piston?

The KL250 pistons ARE stock Z1000 from the factory..

Ok while I known ART the stock pistons I’m not that green, my 77 came with pistons that had no markings on them and I still have them.

Both are correct for stock factory Z1000 pistons.

Thats cool, all i wanted to know, makes sense as the 2 engines were a 78 Nebraska A2 and a 78 LTd that had those pistons in them, The KL250c cam out in 78 so maybe that's when the change over happened.
