Sorry having a unsure moment on the z1000st (CDI) it's the two pink wires that go to the positive on the coils And green and black (from CDI) to negative?

Green and black is usually Earth for Kawasaki I think

Green and black go to the coils, cant remember what one to witch...
have an A3 diagram if it helps.

Thanks everyone should have it fired up this weekend as new igniter arrived.

Hi Mrg
the black wire goes to the coil that's connected to the spark plugs of cylinders 1and 4 (mounted on the left hand side of the frame normally), the green wire goes to the right coil (2-3), the pink wires connect to the double connector of the pink wire that comes from the resistor situated behind the left hand side panel.
