Folks;

Despite being naturally left-handed (insert smutty innuendo here ) I'm finding that after riding for a while I'm getting fed up of heaving the clutch in and out - probably doesn't help that I'm not using the bike as regularly as I used to. (For ref, clutch is set up and working as advertised, so it's not a mechanical problem as such, just a pain in the wrist...) Anyhoo, I remember someone mentioning a clutch mod which made a massive difference. Iv'e had a quick Goggle and come up with the PMC easy clutch kit from Webike Japan. So, questions:
Is this what I'm looking for?
Has anyone tried one?
Did it make a difference?
Are there any alternative fixes?
And finally, is there anywhere closer to order one or does it have to come halfway round the world?
Bike is a Z1R if that makes a difference. Any and all advice welcome.

I have a pmc hydraulic one on my Endurance bike, excellent bit of kit and works really well.

Sounds like you are looking for a more expensive fix but for slight assistance to reduce friction-
If the cable has been on a while (say a year or two)- simply put oil down the cable - I have used 10/40w engine oil or even bicycle chain lube as long as it can flow down the inner cable.
Also I have used Wemoto 'slinky glide' cables which are very smooth in operation.

Kev1R - yep, agree with the cable oiling. It's all running smoothly, just the actual mechanism that's a bit of a pain even though it's working as well as can be expected.
Looks like another 'not essential, but we'll have it anyway' order on the way!

sometimes if the inner cable is a a number of years old it can develop a slight flat edge on the inside curves where it goes on its path to carbs or clutch. This increases the contact area and hence friction . It looks OK on the outside, it seems to move freely in and out, the cable looks normal at the ends but oiling it doesn't make it better. Replacing it is the only option and only then you realise what the problem must have been
