Engine lifting bracket
Anyone help a while back there was a video on z1 owners on Facebook of someone lifting an engine into a frame on a bracket bolted at the back of the engine they had borrowed from a mate anyone got this video as I want to try and get one made.
Re: Engine lifting bracket
I saw one which was alike a horizontal U shaped and bolted to the carb mounting flanges. Pretty simple to measure up and make I would have thought!

Re: Engine lifting bracket
That’s right but even easier with the right dimensions

Re: Engine lifting bracket
Whilst i can see the advantages of the bracket if youre doing engine work on several bikes and have a hoist handy. I found it easier to tilt engine onto a big blanket and lower frame onto engine then insert the engine bolts and tip it back onto floor of course the frame has to be stripped, not so easy if just taking engine out on its own.
Hope you get one sorted.
