Hi Guys. Have a query regarding the kickstart lever on the Z900 A4, i have just rebuilt engine and come to fit kickstarter lever, when i put it on it touches the clutch cover casing part of the engine, therefore when you use it it will cause wear on the alloy, is this correct?
Surely there should be a mm or so clearence, casings cant have changed and lever is as supplied, wondering if wrong lever? never noticed it before.
Suggestions please
Thanks

Thanks for the info Sounds about right, this bike has been a nightmare from start to finish. It seems whoever had it just put anything on it regardless of what bike or year it was from, literally whatever would fot and cheap, unless your an anorak and im def NOT how the hell would you know? I just keep coming across more and more as you move on to the next bit.
Right well hopefully i can sell the kickstarter on and get enough to get a proper Z one, even if its pattern.
Thanks Guys
Follow up!
Well just had a look on ebay theres only 1 KH750 kickstart from US 150 dollars that over £100 and it looks exactly like mine but mines in better conditon, Z1 ones are anything from £30 to £70, pattern 1 from Zpower £60 this makes no sense to me, i assumed that lever had been used as cheap but their rarer so dearer why not use the proper one. All i can think of hes bought a box of several bikes in bits and fitted whatever to whatever it would fit.
Nightmare when your trying to get it back to standard!!!
I dont just need an anorak i need a miracle
