Welded rear footpeg hangers
Has anybody ever come across a reason for having the rear footpeg hangers on each side being cut and welded? They are not shortened, and I cannot think why this might have been done. See attached images.
Cheers

Hi GBZ1000
those footped hangers used to rot on a few bikes so owners had to change them.
It happened to one of my restoration bikes too and it took me a bit of work to change them.(see topic restoration Z1000A1)
You can prevent the rotting by opening the holes on the underside of the hangers in order to let the (rain)water get out.
