Z1000j2 forks

This subject may have been covered previously, but as a new member I couldn't find any info on the forum. I have just tried to buy a pair of inner guides for my z1000j2 forks, and although they are on the parts drawings there is no part number. I phoned Zpower and they said that you have to buy the whole fork leg. After comparing other models and checking what forks they had in them, I ordered a seal and guide kit for a KZ1100 from the same year, and they are identical. Forks are now rebuild and are spot on. My main point is why Zpower couldn't supply them or even tell me what model to get them from. They did manage to supply me with some other more conventional parts though.
