Could anyone give me a ballpark chain length for 1000R with 530 chain? It had a chain on it but I cannibalised it many years ago to use on my Z1000 I guess I could count those and add on the bit that’s still in the drawer but an idea of what it might be would help. Should have taken notes. :vstoopid It’s running 16/35 as it’s got 17” rear wheel. Any ideas anyone. Rough idea will help :D

98 links at 630 would convert to 117 links at 530 under normal circumstances but that would be with an 18 tooth 530 front and a 49 tooth rear at 530. (standard 15 / 41 at 630)
I have an 18 tooth front and a 45 tooth rear at 530 and 114 links at 530 with an 18 inch rear wheel but with a 60 profile rear tyre which will be fairly close to a 17 inch wheel with standard size tyre profile.
Not sure how you are getting away with 35 teeth on the back sprocket even with a 17 inch wheel unless you are aiming for the outright land speed record and are being pushed up to 70 MPH before dropping the clutch on first gear. :D

Dunno Al as far as I know I’m running what was on it before I took it off the road and it was fine then, I’ll have to recount my teeth

After a recount back appears to be 45 I don’t know why I thought it was 35  probably best to count the links on the Z1000 and add the cut off bit
