Z1 SUMP colour

On a black crancase engine, is the sump plate also black? I will be dropping the sump for cleaning. What does anyone recommend foe engine paint? Brush or spray?

there are no dumb questions! When someone asks a question he recognizes he doesn't know all the answers!
