I have a handfull of housings here from Z1 upwards and one is from a MK2.
They are all the same and the MK2 pickup plate fits them all .
The MK2 crank end that fits in the seal is the same 25mm as the earlier cranks too.
For some reason i had thought that the MK2 had a larger seal od but it must be the later J/gpz as these are also all the same 40mm x 25mm .

Thanks Rob, yes i was thinking that the MK2 had a bigger diameter than earlier cranks but obviously not.

Hey Rob, it could have been worse ! If you had similar damage on a Suzuki GS or Hodna CB you'd be looking for a set of crankcases now !!
I always liked this design feature with the bolt on points housing on the old Zed's - much easier to repair after an unplanned get off ....
