Hi guys
My seat lock is stuck, the lever moves side to side but doesn't release the seat, no spring action and it appears to be doing nothing.
I've took the hinge pins out but that does help

Re: Seat lock
Hi Adrian
could you tell us what type of bike you have? I guess it's a z1/a/b because you talk about a "lever".
You already removed the pins from the hinges, can't you remove the seat?
Try to use a long flat screwdriver and move the part that holds the "mushroom" on the underside of the seat pan.(Take care not to touch the + side of the battery!!!)
As soon as you can remove the seat you can see what's wrong with the lock. Probably the M6 nut has become loose.
Good luck with it and let us know if you could find a solution.
Greetings from Belgium.

Re: Seat lock
Thanks Philippe,
Already tried pushing the tab that holds the mushroom with a long screwdriver. Still not yield. Afraid I might damage something.

Re: Seat lock
Hi Adrian
OK, thanks for the reply!
Make sure that the lock is loose. Try again with a screwdriver to push the plate away. Sooner or later you'll have to find a solution.
Good luck!
Before I forget: go to the "new here" area and introduce yourself and show us some pictures of your pride and joy please.

Re: Seat lock
Looking at the seat mushroom...it doesn't move when I jiggle the seat!
Will see if I can unscrew the M6 nut and somehow turn the mushroom loose

Re: Seat lock
Getting desperate here guys, Don't want to damage anything.
Things tried:
Seat hinge pins taken out
Long screwdriver to push the tab that holds the mushroom fastener
My key doesn't seem to operate the seat lock, it wasn't locked when the release tab just spun without engaging anything.
Anything else I can try?
Thanks
