Z1 Rear axle sleeve

#1 PostAuthor: wilsonsjw11 » Fri Jun 17, 2022 5:10 pm

Could someone please advise me of the thickness of the different rear axle sleeves for a Z1/Z1B(43027-020 and 42037-023)
Regards
Steve

From what I can see 42037-023 superceded 42037-020 from frame no. Z1F02000 (I assume that your ref. to 43027-020 was a typo as it doesn't exist as a part number).

As there appears to be only one axle used then the ID should remain the same. IIRC the collar (what Kawasaki call it) fits inside the sprocket carrier bearing (601B6-206) and there is only one listed so the OD should be the same thoughout.

Apologies if this is not what you were after.

John,
You are correct, it’s a typo.
That is the info I was after and I assume the superseded part is thicker for use with the O ring chain because with the slimmer item fitted the chain comes within 2-3mm of the rear sprocket securing bolts.

Steve
