Re: Ignition Switch wiring short. Z1000 A2 1978
Possibly a fault within the switch itself? I might have a spare I could post to you to try. Obviously you've checked for blown fuses? Let me know if you want to try a different switch & i'll have a look to see if I've still got it. Cheers Thanks for the kind offer, I thought it may be the switc...

Ignition Switch wiring short. Z1000 A2 1978
What would cause the Brown wire in the Ignition switch connector block to short out. I went out for a ride, came home. Next day turned the key on, no power at all. Noticed the brown wire on the ignition switch connector block had shorted out. I have bought a new connector block, which is now fitted ...

Re: De glaze
Unsure what you are trying to do. De-glazing normally refers to the cylinder bore, using a hone tool.

Re: Fuel hose.
What is recommended for replacing the short hose from fuel tap to carbs? Am I right that it’s 8mm? Mine has perished I think partly due to it being such a tight bend. Is there something a little more flexible ? Cheers, Ian. Internal diameter is 6.4mm or 1/4 inch. Just a thought, you could fit a fle...

Re: Seat Pan interchangeability
Thanks Adrian for the great response Sir. I have a bit of a bitsa bike with parts from all years. So basically I have a seat pan that I think is from a 1978 LTD bike, Now as the pan itself is in good serviceable order I want to use this and trim it up as an A2 seat. are the seat pans between the A1...

Re: Buying new parts direct from Japan?
Thank you for the replies. I think I will bite the bullet and order some parts. I had issues with Fed ex recently when I bought things from South Africa so I will use another option. I will report back, once my order has been made! :D I have bought many parts over the years, including a set of Z1 d...
